Everyone Against Cancer

Every year, nearly 41,000 Flemish people are diagnosed with cancer. That is 112 new patients per day. For more than 25 years, Kom op tegen Kanker has been helping to prevent, combat, and alleviate the disease.

Anyone in Flanders could start a campaign to raise money.

A waffle baking contest, a dance competition, or a hula hoop marathon? Anything was possible!

The "Everyone Against Cancer" campaign calls on the whole of Flanders to take action together.
VRT1 and Kom op tegen Kanker called on the whole of Flanders to come up with fundraising initiatives. Anyone in Flanders could start an initiative to raise money.

A TV commercial was created for this campaign, featuring three real-life role models. Maarten Vangramberen, Marleen Merckx, and Frank Deboosere threw their weight behind various initiatives across Flanders. To raise even more money, there was also the Rospot. From March 20, 2017, you could get a free Rospot sticker. You stick that sticker on a jar, pot, or tin, which you can then fill with red coins and hand in at KBC.
